Rhodes Set for Big Money Move?

By Bluesweb.co.uk
Monday, 12th October 2009
Former Town striker Jordan Rhodes has been linked with a big money move to a Premiership side after continuing to be amongst the goals for Huddersfield.
The 19 year old was allowed to leave the club in August by Town boss Roy Keane for a fee reported to be around £800,000 provoking a negative reaction from a section of the club's supporters.

Since then Rhodes has scored 11 goals in 13 games for Huddersfield, with many scouts said to be keeping an eye on the youngster and with Town bottom of the Championship and struggling to score goals, Rhodes goalscoring exploits have done little to ease the pressure on Keane.

However Huddersfield boss Lee Clark is not keen to sell: "There is no price on Jordan's head. I don't have to worry about him being sold because we have a very wealthy owner. But I realise people who score goals regularly can become very valuable.

Clark also admitted he was originally interested in another Ipswich player: "I phoned Roy Keane over the summer about a few other players and cheekily mentioned Jordan's name at the end of the list. I got no response about Jordan but I kept at it and gradually wore Keane down."
